Andrew Rice's Drills You Can Do At Home

Quick Tips with Andrew Rice - Golf Digest Top 50 Instructor and Arccos Ambassador, provides three drills you can do at home to work on your game.

The drills will focus on simple ways to help increase clubhead speed, check fundamentals and lag putting. Make sure you're ready for when you can get back out on the course!

Drill 1: Increase Swing Speed

Take 25 swings every other day, alternating the swing direction.

  • 5 Swings dominant side as fast as you can
  • 5 Swings non-dominant side as fast as you can (change your grip)
  • 5 Swings with a step on dominant side as fast as you can
  • 5 Swings with a step on non-dominant side as fast as you can (change your grip)
  • 5 Swings dominant side as fast as you can

Drill 2: Mirror Checks

Take practice swings in front of a mirror to understand your swing and check your fundamentals.

  • Get a feel for your golf swing
  • Check out your grip
  • Check out your posture

Drill 3: Putting Touch

Practice stopping your putts on a specific location to improve your touch.

  • Putt down the hallway
  • Putt on a mat
  • Putt on different carpets
  • Lay some $bills on the floor and see if you can stop the ball on there
